Hi CODE team,
I have found the following threads about control objects in migration packages, but they are dated to 2018/2019, so not sure whether they are still relevant with the latest version of Pulse.
Can you please help to define how a package should be created in Pulse when migrating the following control objects?
}ElementAttributes cube, rule and dimension
Just the }ElementAttributes rule
Just the }ElementAttributes dimension
Just the }ElementAttributes cube data
Thanks Erik,
Happy with that alternative solution.
Cheers
Andrew.
Hi,
I am trying to create a package to migrate few dimensions and their attributes. However, I can’t find the {ElementAttributes_* cubes within the create migration package wizard.
Could you kindly suggest what could be reason behind this?
Cheers!
Without doing a full dimension sync is there any way to make pulse
1/ update the rule from a }ElementAttributes cube?
2/ Do AttrInsert / AttrDelete for added or removed attriutes?
The only way I can figure out how to make Pulse do either of these action on the target is to select the dimension in the package but then DESELECT all the element actions. I’m hoping there is a way to do it.
Element actions are not wanted as Prod has completely different elements to Dev and we only want to create …
Is there a setting somewhere for this? Some control objects show up in the list of dimensions, but }ElementAttributes seem to be conspicuously missing.

Hi @vbrink ,
We added a new article to explain how to deal with attributes: https://cubewisecare.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/pulseusermanual/pages/1026818073/Migrating+Dimension+Attributes+with+Pulse
Thank you for the article.
Check on migrating an ElementAttributes cube with rules for the first time.
And check on migrating the cube values.
How should you migrate if the primary dimension should not be changed, but the attributes dimension, the cube values and the rules should be migrated?

Hi @vbrink ,
That should be via migrating the DIMX file of that Dimension. That contains the attributes and their values. As for the Rules, that should be selected similar to a normal cube.
Then review the changes via Changes section of the Execute Migration flow.
Cheers,
Paul
