To view Excel workbooks usage in Pulse, an Excel add-in needs to be installed on each laptop. It is the Excel add-in which is sending the information to Pulse. If your users are using citric then yes you need to install the Excel add-in in Citrix. More information about the Pulse Excel Logger can be found in the following article:
To see TM1 Web usage in Pulse, it is TM1 Web sending the informaiton to Pulse. To do that a little script needs to be added to the TM1 Web server, the steps are explained in the following article:
