the position of the heading names for the columns and rows in the view

Hello,

is it possible to get the name of the headings for rows and columns not centered but left aligned in a column?

Normally, there is no problem with these headings being centered, however, if you not only have the names of the element or like only one string with up to 3 words, but also a combination of more strings, being written into the cell, so to read the string completely, you have to enlarge the column and if it is big enough, you dont see the name of the column / of the element as the heading anymore. In general, you know the name of the specified column, but you cannot read it as it is in the center of the big column.

I think, you do it already for the elements itself and it would be useful also for the headings, I hope.

Thank you very much in advance.

With best regards,
Vitalij

Hi @Vitalij sorry, I’m not following.

Firstly, are you asking about Arc or Slice, and which feature of the product. Can you provide screenshots to more clearly explain your issue?

Hello Harvey,

Sorry, I refer to Arc as product and especially to the View widget.

I’m now at the current version 4.6.0

I’m not sure now if it is possible to define the position of the heading names like left or right aligned
or is it only possible to have it centred.

The issue is: if the string in a cell is too long, you have to scroll to the right to see the name of the element.

With best regards,
Vitalij

Hi @Vitalij thanks for clarifying. I understand your issue now.

Unfortunately, there is currently no way to change column alignment (short of hacking the stylesheet) in Arc.

If you’d like to see this behaviour changed, please create a new issue over on the support site and copy the information from this post.

Let me know if you have any problems creating the ticket.
