Save-Button in Arc for TI and Rules always active, no matter if there is a change or not

Hello,
maybe it is nothing special, however, a bit confusing.

The saving button for TI and Rules is always active, it doesn’t matter, if there is a change or not.
I don’t know how is the feeling for others, it would be nice, if the button is active only by change at the code.

Thanks in advance.

With best regards,
Vitalij

Hi @Vitalij,

Because Arc is multi-user, this is not necessarily as straightforward as it seems.

For example, if the user saves their process and the button becomes disabled, then a user on another laptop saves their version of the same TI.

Arc would need to periodically check if the TI has been changed by another user and re-enable the Save button if it has.

While this is doable, it only addresses one edge case. There may be others.

Having said that, the latest release of Arc+ (5.2.0) supports locking processes and rules, preventing other users from editing them. With this feature enabled, it might make sense to disable the Save button until local changes are made.

If you feel it should be included in the product, feel free to submit an enhancement request. Just be aware of some of the complexities around doing so.

Hello Harvey,

thanks for your replay.
I was not aware of this for the first moment.

You might be right.
We can close this.
