I’m working on building a dashboard to track user activity by object type, including PAfE (reports), workspace, PowerConnect, TI processes, and chores, with filtering by server and user.
Additionally, part of this effort is to track completion time and waiting time for other users.
Which table(s) would I be able to find this data in on OpenSearch?
If you want to know which tool your users are using to connect to TM1 then this is easy, you can look at the Context field in Pulse as it is explained here:
Then if you want to see at the object level, which view, subset or process is used then this will be only possible for customers using Arc and Slice with Pulse.
As explained in the following article, when ** pulse tracking** is set to true, each time an object is opened in Arc and Slice, Arc and Slice will send the information into Pulse.
In order to track which object is used, the tool needs to send the information to Pulse. As we can’t tell PAfE or PAW to send this information, object usage tracking will only work if your users are only using Arc and Slice.
My request is more on the Pulse Explorer end to track user movements and wait time.
Combining sections of the Live Monitor and process/chore runs with the user activity should provide what I would be looking for at the moment.
Also, as part of the enhancement request, are we able to get the user session metrics into Pulse Explorer? This would add more definition to performance tracking.
This could possible by creating an index with these stats. This could be an enhancement, as we have had some other request to provide similar calculations with other Pulse data.
Thank you Erik. Did you need me to create the ticket for enhancement? There may be a couple other metrics that would help as your thinking through the data push into Open Search.
