Pulse consuming a lot of system resources

Hi,

a client is reporting that Pulse is consuming a lot of system resources, after a restart of the Pulse service (see picture). The version installed is 5.7.10.

Could you provide some information on the factors which are primarily driving the resource need of Pulse?

Thanks,
Markus

Hi @mfynmore,

Pulse stores up to 15 minutes (by default) of history in its Cache, the size will directly due to the number of sessions, the number of TI executions and how often the tm1server.log changes, this will grow lineally by the number of active instances in the server. Pulse keeps all this data under its application sever (tomcat), which also has footprint on account of the JVM, on this, Oracle recommends for such enterprise applications like Pulse, which are running under a JRE such as Java 8, the recommending minimum is 1 GB and the double (2 GB) for applications running in Windows [1].
