Pulse Backups

Hi there

I have not used Pulse backups before - and can’t seem to find any documentation on that.

In the Configuration screen in Pulse there is a “Backup Directory” I assume that is for pulse backups.

A Few general questions on the Pulse Backup:

  1. Do these backups do an incremental or full backup of the DB?
  2. Is there an auto-delete that backups older than X get removed?
  3. I looked in the config and can’t seem to find any settings on when the backup run - is this adjustable?

Thanks

Hi @dfranken,

This setting relates to the execution of pulse migration packages.
It correlates to the “Backup Data Directory” checkbox when executing a migration, which makes a backup of your tm1 model data directory as a precaution.

To backup pulse itself, one can look at the steps in this article:

Do these backups do an incremental or full backup of the DB?
See above

Not for the migration backups as far as I know.
For Pulse database size management you can look at this article

Yes there are intervals one can set under the Maintenance and Elastic sections in the Pulse.cfg

Thanks
