[NextGen UX] Security Assignment to Workflow Steps

Hi all,

We are building a pretty sophisticated application using NextGen UX, and we found that using Workflow to categorise the pages could become very neat.

However, the challenge now is it seems I am not allow to assign security to workflow steps.

So the problem for me become I would need to either make the application very messy, or allow users to see pages that they don’t want to see, both options are not ideal at all.

Is there any tricks that I don’t know? I really want to assign security to workflow steps level.

Regards

Tat

Hi Tat

Currently security assignment granularity ends at a workflow. You can put in a ER on the support portal to enhance security assignment on workflows down to the page level so we can track it. (Edit: actually I just made one for you.)

The only workaround for now would be to use structured folders rather than workflow to organize the screens. (We are also planning for a future release to add a “convert folder to workflow” feature and vice versa.)
