Multiple Servers Same Instance Name

A couple of related questions, more out of curiosity then anything else.

  1. Can Arc be pointed at multiple admin host servers? E.g. I have installed Arc on a laptop and want to point at both development and test servers?
  2. If the answer to the above question is yes, what happens if there are instances of the same name?

Hi @R.B,

Yes it can, if the names are the same you will need to toggle them on and off as you move between servers. If you don’t the names will clash. The other option is to add each instance through the “connections” setting in the config file. You can give each instance a custom name that way, i.e. blah_prod and blah_dev.
