Is this func/option still available in NextGen? - Hyperlink to change filter
It is actually very useful, instead of right click, select apply filter, or click very small gfilter icon.
it is much easier and user-friendly to click on a Hyperlink.

Yes the exact same functionality is available in the current UX but it is implemented a bit differently. It is now called “show filter icon for rows” and presents as a filter icon on mouseover on the right of the row header that the user can click on to change a global filter.
We believe that this is more intuitive as hyperlinks are associated with navigation. The filter icon makes it obvious both in the intent and as a state indicatior to show the row header value which is currently set as the filter.
