Guidance on generating response.ats for Pulse Monitor unattended install

My team is automating the installation of Pulse Monitor and ARC on a server and needs guidance on generating the unattended installation response file (response.ats).

We tried running the installer with the/rswitch, but the response file was not created.

Could you please advise on the correct procedure to generate response.ats during Pulse Monitor installation, including:

  • The exact command and switch(es) required to produce the response file

  • Any prerequisites or additional parameters needed for the file to be generated successfully

Also, please confirm whether we should raise this via the forum first and then log a support ticket, or if you’d prefer, we go straight to a ticket.

Hi @Pawan,

There is no response.ats-like file for both. What you can do though is to copy settings.yml and other files you want to be moved or monitor.yml from another installation with your preferred settings and then just install them as a service over there.

Both are stand alone binaries that runs on its own and generates the default files if they are not present.

Cheers,

Paul

We will try it Paul and will let you know.

Thanks,
Pawan
