External services alert

In the latest version of Pulse there is supposed to be a new feature to monitor external windows services. However I can’t see anywhere in the Environments or Alerts GUI which allows an alerts for an external service to be configured. E.g. select the service and then an alert type (CPU, Memory, not running, etc.)

Where is this hidden?

Hi @cw-ch-scott,

Main configuration is through the Pulse Monitor’s YML file in terms of which Windows Service to monitor.

As for the alerts, it should be in the Environments as this is configured per Pulse Monitor.

For reference:

I’m just adding the web article available on our website:

This is fine if I want to monitor the tm1 admin host service and get an alert if it stops then Iyou would just add:
tm1admsdx64

But what if you want to monitor TM1 Web & TM1 Applications? The service name is:
IBM Cognos TM1
But here what is relevant is not just if the service is running but also the memory and cpu use. I don’t see any documentation on configuring any alert for this like we have for a TM1 instance and that is what is really needed.
