Creating Pulse deployment packages while instance is not running

Hi,

Is it possible to create a pulse deployment package while the TM1 instance is not running? I hadn’t noticed it being an issue before (not sure if I’ve tried to do it), but when I tried to create a package after upgrading Pulse to 6.3.0, I received errors if the instance was not running.

Hi @R.B,

Is it possible to create a pulse deployment package while the TM1 instance is not running?

No, this feature is not supported. Even on early versions of Pulse 6, this should not work as well.

We could look into the feasibility of this one though. Please create a ticket when you next have the chance to do so.

Cheers!

Paul

Thanks @plim, I don’t think I had previously selected a TM1 instance that wasn’t running before. Should I be able to select the instance in the first place if it is not running?

A quick check shows that Pulse allows you to select a stopped instance.

Do we have a use case for creating packages when a TM1 server is offline? If there is none, I think we should just hide non-running TM1 servers.

Cheers!

Paul
