Canvas - Linux Version?

Hi

After seeing David Sauren’s presentation during the Sydney Client Day, some of my clients have expressed interest in using PA in Linux instead of Windows.

However, they are also have Canvas applications. Just want to find out whether there are any plans to have Canvas available on Linux?

Hi @Sb5,

Canvas doesn’t have to be install on the same server as TM1, it can be on a separate Windows server. It is possible to install Canvas on Linux but it isn’t support at the moment.

@tryan I understand. But if another server can be avoided that would be best. Are there any articles that we can reference re canvas on Linux?

Hi @Sb5,

No there isn’t, we don’t support Canvas on Linux at the moment, things like PDF generation won’t work. It may be something we look to in the future.
