If I copy values from an Excel spreadsheet to a UX view, the numbers need to be formatted as general. If they are formatted with negatives in brackets (e.g. like the option in the TM1 cube viewer) the values don’t get pasted (they go red and disappear).
Is this a known issue, a limitation or something that can be addressed?
When pasting from the clipboard into html there’s no concept of data type or format or all the other richness you might have when pasting from/to Excel as essentially everything is text. TM1Web also has the same problem with pasting formatted numbers.
The immediate solution is to remove number formatting before copying. There’s probably something we can do to parse formatted number strings and return the value. But it won’t be until after the next release. Will check and let you know.
