What does it mean when user sessions contain ‘???’ instead of ‘system’ or the actual user name?

Hi Gerald,

There is a setting in the TM1s.cfg file which allows you to mask user names in server tools. If this setting is set to “False” or does not exist, the user name will be displayed. If the setting is “True” the user name could be masked.

Permanent or transient? If your system is using CAM then ??? is displayed temporarily during login before the TM1 server gets the user’s details back from the Cognos server.
